Infrabrow

The infrabrow lift is a specific type of surgical procedure that addresses the drooping of the outer upper eyelid. For patients who have concealed double eyelids, the infrabrow lift can bring up the upper eyelid so that the double eyelids become plainly visible. While it is not considered a blepharoplasty, the infrabrow lift is a useful procedure that has best effects when combined with other procedures in order to position the eyebrows and frame the face perfectly.

By removing lax skin around your eyelids and giving it a more taut look, you will create the effect of having bigger eyes and attain a more youthful and vibrant look.

Am I a good candidate for an Infrabrow lift?

As we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin and this can cause our upper eyelids to sag. Due to gravity, the eyelids begin to droop and become hooded, making us look older and more worn out. If this is causing your upper eyelid crease to become less visible, then you might be a great candidate for an infrabrow lift.

For individuals that are looking to reposition their eyebrows and uncover their eyelids, the infrabrow lift is often combined with upper eyelid blepharoplasty to give the patient and overall rejuvenated and refreshed look.

The experience of getting an Infrabrow lift at The Clifford Surgery

Before the procedure is carried out, our doctors will go through your medical history in detail to ensure there are no pre-existing conditions and that you are healthy enough to undergo the procedure.
Local anaesthesia will be administered prior to the procedure. As such, you will not feel any pain during the surgery. If you would prefer to be fully sedated during the surgery, general anaesthesia is an option as well.
Our surgeon will use a marker to mark out exactly where the incisions will be. The surgeon will make a precise incision along the lower line of your brows at the outer tail of the eyebrows. Through this incision, the surgeon will excise an amount of tissue (both fat, skin and muscle will be removed) deemed necessary to bring out the best lifting effect.
The surgeon will make the decision whether or not additional sutures are needed in order to reposition your eyebrows in order to frame your face better. From then on, the two incisions are then sutured shut.
